Gena is a Melbourne based artist with a passion for creating textured abstract art shipping Australia wide and internationally. Each piece is an original, handmade textured painting by Gena and one of a kind, a piece of textured art to cherish and keep forever.
Gena creates textured art on canvas, and each piece is created individually using mediums mixed by Gena to achieve the desired texture and overall aesthetic. Gena is one of the first artists around the country to have introduced textured artwork to her collection, with her art having a strong focus on 3D elements and depth as opposed to traditional art on canvas which has a focus on colours or images.
Although there are standard sizes and styles available on the website, custom orders are welcome. For customers who have found a piece of textured abstract art on the website that they love, however require a particular size, would like some colour added to suit their space, or would like less or more texture, please enquire within and Gena will work with you to create the perfect piece of textured wall décor for your space.
TEXTURED ART ON CANVAS
Gena's Inspiration
Gena’s modern abstract painting collection has been inspired by Mediterranean architecture and interiors which have a strong focus on shape and texture as well as monochrome or neutral colour palettes. Although her textured paintings on canvas, including her famous white textured wall art, are minimal, they are an interpretation of the all-white homes in the Greek Islands, or the breathtaking ruinous state of the Parthenon. These trends are translated onto Gena’s textured wall art and are then beautifully blended into a Mediterranean inspired space consisting of fossil stone homewares, neutral colour pallets or spaces with a minimalistic feel. The 3D textured wall art pieces provide depth and unity to the space and are said to resemble a minimalist sculpture, only hanging as heavy textured art on canvas instead.
